The Vikings are optimistic that Dalvin Cook (knee), who underwent season-ending surgery Monday to repair a torn left ACL, will be 100 percent healthy for the start of the 2018 campaign, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. "No real further damage in Cook's knee, thankfully," Vikings athletic trainer Eric Sugarman said Tuesday. "Pretty straight ACL. And I'd hope to expect him at training camp next year."

Dalvin Cook posted on his personal Twitter account that his surgery Monday to repair the torn ACL in his left knee was successful.

The Vikings placed Dalvin Cook (knee) on injured reserve Thursday, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.

Dalvin Cook (left knee) needed crutches to leave the locker room after Sunday's 14-7 loss to the Lions, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports. "We're concerned about his ACL, but he's going to get a MRI in the morning," head coach Mike Zimmer said.

Dalvin Cook has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Lions due to a knee injury.

Dalvin Cook rushed 27 times for 97 yards and his first NFL touchdown and brought in all five targets for 72 yards in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Buccaneers.

Dalvin Cook gained 64 yards on 12 carries and added a pair of catches for no gain during Sunday's 26-9 loss to the Steelers.

Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur said Thursday that he anticipates Dalvin Cook, who saw 25 touches and was on the field for 51 of the Vikings' 65 offensive snaps in the Week 1 win over the Saints, to continue filling a large workload out of the backfield this season, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports. "[Cook's] a really good player so we want him to touch the ball," Shurmur said.

Dalvin Cook rushed 22 times for 127 yards and caught three of five targets for 10 yards in Monday night's win over the Saints.

Dalvin Cook is listed as the starter on Minnesota's depth chart ahead of Week 1 against the Saints.

Dalvin Cook rushed five times for 17 yards and secured his only target for minus-five yards in Sunday's 32-31 preseason win over the 49ers.
