Head coach Arthur Smith confirmed Monday that Desmond Ridder will reclaim starting quarterback duties Sunday against the Saints, and the Falcons plan to stick with the second-year signal-caller as their starter for the rest of the season, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.

The Falcons are expected to go forward with Desmond Ridder as the starter beginning Week 12 versus the Saints, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Head coach Arthur Smith said Wednesday that Desmond Ridder has been medically cleared but will serve as the top backup to Taylor Heinicke in Sunday's game versus the Vikings, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
