Tiger Woods (lower leg) is not in the field for the Masters.

Tiger Woods (lower leg) announced Tuesday in a statement via his Twitter account that he has returned home from the hospital and will continue his recovery process there.

Tiger Woods released a statement via his personal Twitter account, saying he received emergency surgery on his lower right leg and ankle and is now recovering in his hospital room in Los Angeles.

Tiger Woods' (back) agent, Mark Steinberg, said that his client sustained multiple leg injuries during his single-car accident near Los Angeles earlier Tuesday, ESPN.com reports. "He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support," Steinberg said.

Tiger Woods was injured in a roll-over car accident Tuesday that required ambulance transport to the local hospital for treatment, according to LA County Sheriffs.

Tiger Woods (back), via the PGA TOUR's official Twitter account, said Sunday on CBS that his availability for the Masters is uncertain.
